Photography is the story I fail to put into words
- Destin Sparks
Hi! It's me, Miranda
Your Adventure-Obsessed Elopement Photographer
Snowboarder, mountain biker, fixer-upper DIYer, and expert at capturing love in the most breathtaking places. If your dream day involves hiking boots and wild views, we’re going to be best friends.
Hey, I’m Miranda — Your Oregon Engagement & Elopement Photographer
Born and raised in Oregon, I’m a Central Oregon photographer with a passion for adventure, golden light, and unscripted moments.
If you’re dreaming of an engagement session that’s natural, easy, and full of connection—I’m your girl.
From Forest Ranger to Full-Time Photographer
Back in 2012, I traded my small hometown of Boring, Oregon (yep, that’s the name!) for the epic landscapes of Bend, Oregon. I was hooked—on the mountains, rivers, and the wild beauty of the high desert.
My journey started with a 7-year career in Natural Resources with the Forest Service. But when I was laid off while pregnant during the pandemic, I followed my heart and built a business around what I’ve always loved most:
Capturing real people in beautiful places.
Life Now Looks Like…
Raising a wild toddler
Living with a 100-lb husky/rottweiler cuddle monster
Taking on DIY projects in our fixer-upper
And running a business that lights me up every single day ✨ (well… most days—minus the ones where I want to throw my laptop into the Deschutes and start a goat farm 🐐😂).”
As a mom and small business owner, I know life is busy—which is why my engagement photo sessions in Central Oregon are laid-back, fun, and fully guided from start to finish.
What It’s Like Working With Me
Whether we’re hiking the Cascade mountains through the wildflowers or exploring the high desert, chasing golden hour, I create a space where you can:
Be yourselves
Laugh, explore, and connect
Leave with photos that feel like you
From choosing the perfect location to outfit inspo and posing that doesn’t feel like posing, I’ve got you covered.
Why I love Photographing People
I’ve always had a deep love for photography, but what truly drives me is the ability to connect with people and capture their most important moments. There's something so special about being invited into someone's life to document their love, joy, and milestones—whether it's an intimate elopement, a vibrant wedding, or a fun family photoshoot. As an extrovert, I thrive on the personal connections I make with my clients. I love hearing their stories, bonding over shared passions, like a love for the outdoors, and creating a comfortable, fun space where they can truly be themselves.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is witnessing the powerful connection between two people, whether it’s the love between partners on their wedding day or the warmth of a family simply enjoying each other’s company. Photography gives me the opportunity to freeze these moments in time, creating memories that last a lifetime.
My Goal
My goal is to be more than just your photographer or vendor; I want to be a part of your journey. From your wedding day to family milestones, and even the senior photos of your kids, I hope to grow alongside you, capturing not just a single moment, but a lifelong connection. Each shoot is an opportunity to tell a story, one that I hope will continue for years to come.
My Promise
To offer more than just photos; I deliver memories that withstand the test of time, weaving stories that speak volumes.
So, if you’r seeking a photographer who not only captures moments but also embodies the adventurous spirit whether your wanting a serene snowy lakeside cabin elopement via snowmobile or hiking into your favorite spot, look no further.
I promise to tell YOUR story when the words fail and remind you when memories fade. Let’s start our ADVENTURE together!
Adventure Is My Love Language
When we’re not knee-deep in a home project or watching YouTube tutorials on how not to flood our kitchen, you’ll usually find my husband, Mat, and me somewhere outdoors.
We’re both obsessed with snowboarding, and winter weekends are basically spent chasing powder.
Our daughter, Remi, strapped on her first snowboard at age 2 (tiny helmet and all 🥹), and now at 4, she’s actually holding her own on the mountain!
Teaching a toddler to snowboard? Top-tier challenge, right up there with potty training and getting them to eat a vegetable. But honestly? It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
When the Snow Melts...
Once winter’s gone, you’ll find us:
Paddleboarding or kayaking every chance we get
Mountain biking or hiking in the shoulder seasons
Chasing wildflowers, sunshine, and any excuse to be outside
And at the end of the day?
You’ll likely catch us at a local brewery, chasing our toddler around the patio, catching up with friends, or arguing over who had the better powder line that morning (spoiler: it’s always me 😉).
My Philosophy on Storytelling through Photography
Because real moments deserved to be remembered exactly how they felt.
I’m here to capture the wild, unscripted moments of your love story—the wind in your hair, the cliffs beneath your boots, the quiet glances, and belly laughs you didn’t know you’d treasure.
When the trails fade and the seasons change, I want your photos to take you right back to how it all felt—raw, real, and wildly you.
SOUND LIKE YOUR KIND OF ADVENTURE?
Let’s start planning yhour story- one epic, unscripted moment at a time.
